Learn AENV's 2010 Reclamation Criteria for native/tame grasslands and how to use the associated tools through classroom instruction and field training. Registrants should have a solid grasp of both soils and vegetation identification related to the criteria as this course is NOT designed to teach soil classification or botany. The Course Includes: electronic copies of required AENV templates, tools & reference documents, course outline and transportation to sites. Field training is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if required. Attendees are responsible for all meals and bagged lunches. You must bring a laptop computer, extension cord, clip board & paper, clothing & foot wear for the field. If you have reference material on soil structure, texture, colour & plant ID it will be helpful. Once registered a link to an FTP site will be emailed to you to allow the download of all required templates and reference material provided by AENV. These need to be on the computer you bring to the course. Rooms are on hold at the Ramada Inn, Brooks, Phone: 403-362-6440.
See the Alberta Institute of Agrologists website here for more information and registration.
